Questions, problems or feedback? Email support@winna.app. It helps to include your Winna version (shown at the bottom of Winna's Settings tab), your device and your iOS version. Please don't send your vision or other personal writing unless we need it to help.
The answers below cover the most common questions.
Subscriptions and Purchases
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Winna's Settings tab and tap Restore Purchases, just below your profile card. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you used to buy. If no active purchase is found, Winna will tell you.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Open the iPhone or iPad Settings app, tap your name (Apple Account), then Subscriptions, and choose Winna. That list shows auto-renewing plans. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase that doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel, but buying it doesn't cancel a subscription you already have. If you have a paid plan, the profile card in Winna's Settings tab also shows a Manage subscription (or Manage purchases) button. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one through Apple's refund process.
iCloud Sync
What syncs between my devices?
Your vision and values, identities, goals, habits, tasks, routines, workout history and reviews sync through your own private iCloud database. Winna doesn't use its own servers to sync this content. App preferences such as theme and appearance, App Lock and your PIN, and downloaded personal audio stay on each device.
My data isn't syncing. What should I check?
- In Winna's Settings tab, tap iCloud Sync under Data & Sync. It shows the current status and explains what needs attention, with an Open Settings button when there's something to fix. Tap Check Again to refresh it.
- Each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, with iCloud Drive enabled for Winna.
- Your iCloud storage isn't full.
- Both devices are online. Changes sync in the background; opening Winna on the other device helps it catch up.
Winna keeps working on your device while sync is off or paused, and syncs again when iCloud is available.
I'm setting up a new device. How do I get my data back?
Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, install Winna and tap I already use Winna on the welcome screen. Your vision and saved items appear when iCloud finishes syncing.
App Lock and PIN
How does App Lock work?
In Winna's Settings tab, go to Security and turn on App Lock. Your device needs a passcode for this. Winna then asks you to unlock it when you open the app or come back to it, using Face ID, Touch ID or Optic ID, with your device passcode as a backup. Once App Lock is on, you can also set a 4-digit Winna PIN under PIN Code in the same section. App Lock and the PIN are set separately on each device.
What if Face ID or Touch ID isn't available?
- Use your iPhone or iPad passcode. When Face ID or Touch ID can't be used, the lock screen shows Unlock with Passcode.
- If you've set a Winna PIN, you can tap Use PIN Instead. On a device without a passcode, Winna opens straight to PIN entry.
- If the device has no passcode and no PIN is set, the lock screen explains this and offers Turn Off App Lock.
I forgot my PIN. What can I do?
Winna can't reset a forgotten PIN. It's stored only on your device, and changing or removing it needs the current PIN. If your device has a passcode, you can still unlock with Face ID, Touch ID or the passcode. After five incorrect attempts, PIN entry pauses for about a minute, and the pause gets longer after repeated lockouts.
If your device had no passcode when Winna locked, only the PIN can unlock it. Adding a passcode afterwards doesn't open Winna, so nobody else can get in that way. If you can't remember the PIN, delete and reinstall Winna. With iCloud sync on, your saved content comes back when you choose I already use Winna; anything that hadn't synced yet is lost. App Lock is off after reinstalling.
Privacy and Your Data
Where is my information stored?
Your saved content lives on your device and, with iCloud, in your private iCloud database. Optional features, such as personal narration, photo search and usage analytics, have their own data flows. Our Privacy Policy explains each one.
How do I remove my data?
- Delete goals, habits, tasks and other items in the app. Deleting a synced item can also remove it from your other devices.
- To remove personal audio, go to Support & Info in Winna's Settings tab and tap Clear next to Personal audio. This removes this device's downloads and requests removal of its recordings from Winna's audio service. Your text stays.
- To delete the private online account, open Settings → Support & Info → Service Account → Delete Service Account. Keep Winna installed until the request is accepted, then check this screen for completion while server cleanup continues. This also requests removal of associated provider narration history; deletion stays pending until required cleanup is confirmed.
- Share Usage Analytics is on by default unless you have already turned it off. You can turn it off or back on any time under Privacy in Winna's Settings tab.
Deleting the service account leaves your device and private iCloud goals, habits, tasks and saved text in place. It does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage renewal separately through Apple. Services stay disconnected until you choose Reconnect Services. You can then use Restore Purchases to recover eligible purchases, but deleted recordings do not return and used narration allowance does not reset. Our Privacy Policy explains the limited purchase-usage and security records retained after deletion.
Deleting the app doesn't automatically delete iCloud copies or information held by our service providers. For privacy requests, email privacy@winna.app.
